Kevin Thompson graduated from Queen’s University with a BSc in Mathematics and from York University with his MBA. He retired after 32 years with Ontario Hydro and Hydro One. He has previous Board experience with HEPCOE Credit Union, Meridian Credit Union, and Mountain Equipment Co-op.
He is a caregiver for his wife Joanne who has rheumatoid arthritis and, in addition, is an osteoarthritis patient. Kevin co-chaired the TAP PFAC until its closure in 2021 and currently chairs the CArE PFAC. He is passionate about having emergent care available for arthritis patients.
Kevin enjoys the outdoors and is an avid cross-country skier, cyclist, and kayaker. He is also interested in the protection of the environment and is involved in the Inaturalist community and regularly contributes wildlife observations to further the understanding and tracking of organisms. Kevin regularly plays acoustic guitar in the Easy Street garage band.
